This is the second medal issued in the Polish Uncjówka series .

We present another medal after Luna, this time dedicated to Queen Jadwiga. Queen Jadwiga (Jadwiga Andegawenska) was a Polish queen who reigned from 1384 to 1399. She was born in 1373 as the daughter of Louis of Hungary and Elizabeth of Bosnia. After the death of her father Louis of Hungary, Jadwiga was elected king of Poland at the age of 10 by the Polish Sejm in 1384. She was the first woman to be crowned king of Poland. Her marriage to Ladislaus II Jagiello resulted in an alliance between Poland and Lithuania, which led to the Polish-Lithuanian Union. Hedwig was known for her love of people and charity, as well as her devotion to religion. She was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church in 1997.

The silver investment medal is inspired by a pre-war Polish coin from 1932, commonly known as the Head of a Woman, or just Jadwiga. In the original version, the figure shown on the coin's reverse was not Jadwiga, but here, after the change of the garland to a crown, one can already boldly draw such a resemblance. In addition, the background filled with ears of wheat on the left was replaced by a mirrored surface and the name of the Polish queen was placed. The obverse depicts the image of a crowned eagle, with the inscription Rzeczpospolita Polska placed around it, in the right part we can see the indication of the silver sample and weight of the medal, and at the very bottom the fictitious denomination - 1 Polish penny.
