The silver coin continues the series of bullion coins from the Gdansk Mint. It is also the first 1 ounce bullion coin from this manufacturer. The coin introduces us to one of the Slavic mythical creatures, the rusalka. Rusalka were demonic creatures, believed to inhabit lake forests. They became young maidens who died before marriage. They were not friendly to humans, and tried to lure young men to them, only to then deprive them of their lives by tickling them, or dancing them to breathlessness.

The reverse depicts the mythical Rusalka emerging from the waters of a lake. She was given a form inspired by another mythical creature, the mermaid. In the background, small fish swim on the surface of the water. Blossoming water lilies have been integrated into the whole. The obverse in its central part depicts the emblem of the Republic of Cameroon, along with the stated denomination of 500 CFA. Around it is placed a concentric ornament in which we can see leaves of wild plants and animals appearing here and there.
