Megalodon was a giant prehistoric shark that lived in the oceans from about 23 to 3.6 million years ago. It is considered one of the fiercest predators in history - its length could exceed 18-20 meters. The strength of its jaws was so powerful that it easily crushed the bones and armor of large marine animals, including whales. To this day, the megalodon's distinctive triangular teeth are often found as valuable fossils. It probably became extinct as a result of a cooling climate and a reduction in its food base, which opened up space for the development of modern shark species.

On the reverse of the silver bullion coin, a spectacular scene of a megalodon attacking a whale is immortalized - a wide-open maw full of teeth emphasizes its unbridled strength.
