This is the third silver investment coin in the Australian Brumby series .

The silver coin series is dedicated to the wild Australian Brumby horses. The animals are hybrids of many breeds of horses that were brought to the continent in the 18th century. These horses found their way into the wild by escaping settlers, or were simply released. The animals have adapted very well to life in harsh Australian conditions and have become a permanent part of the continent's landscape.

The reverse of the coin depicts a Brumby horse standing in a proud pose with its neck bent and right leg raised. A typical piece of Australian scenery can be seen in the background. The upper part features an inscription with the name of the series, while the lower part shows the year of issue, weight and proof of the silver coin. The obverse is decorated with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II captured in right profile. As the coin is official legal tender, the denomination and currency - 1 AUD - are placed below.
