A coin designed by Joel Iskowitz, in a limited edition of 10,000 pieces.

This series of silver coins has been dedicated to the Greek and Norse goddesses to give an insight into how they are perceived in modern society. The series opens with the goddess Hera. She was the third daughter of Kronos and Reia and the wife of Zeus. As a goddess, she patronized the heavens. fertility, and was the patroness of motherhood and family. She was depicted as a violent, jealous and vengeful goddess. She was easily angered and eager to quarrel. She was described as a beautiful, haughty and regal woman. She traveled in a chariot harnessed to peacocks, which are her symbol.

The reverse shows the goddess Hera traversing the starry sky in a chariot clutched by three peacocks. Two more sit on either side of her, Hera is clad in a gown, holding a peacock feather in her right hand and a reins in her left. Below the chariot, billowing clouds can be seen. The obverse is decorated with the profile of Queen Elizabeth II along with the issuer's designation - the islands of St. Helena. At the bottom is the date of issue -2022 and the denomination.
