The emu is a large flightless bird, endemic to Australia, which is the second largest bird in the world, just after the ostrich. It is characterized by its long legs, slender body and dark brown plumage, which provides it with excellent camouflage in the Australian bush. The emu is known for its impressive running ability, and can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h. This bird's diet is dominated by plants, seeds, insects, but also small vertebrates, making it omnivorous. The reverse of the silver investment coin shows us the emu bird standing proudly on the Australian steppe.
