Italia & Germania is coin number three in this unique collection inspired by the power of femininity.

A distinctive feature of the series is the reference to traditional and national values. Each of the subsequent coins depicts women as "Mothers of Nations." In a metaphorical sense, the female figures are also meant to symbolize the home and security associated with maternal care. The latest edition of the Allegory depicts (along with Germania, of course) the personification of Italy.

On the latest obverse of the Allegories series, Italia is depicted in the company of Germania. The women were placed in the center, and a symbol of prosperity called the horn of plenty was placed to their left. The reverse of the coin was decorated with the coat of arms of Germania. This is not part of the official heraldry, as the land was never officially a separate state. The symbolism of the coat of arms refers to moral principles and Roman times.
