Along with the Kangaroo,the Australian Koala is one of the most recognizable bullion coins minted by the Perth-based mint.
This internationally recognized coin made its debut on the precious metals market in 2007. This collection, like many others issued by Perth Mint, is inspired by Australia's unique fauna, specifically the friendly koalas. A distinctive feature of the series is the image on the reverse, which changes each year. A limited mintage of 300,000 copies adds a collector's element to the coin.
The reverse of the 2021 silver investment coin shows an image of a koala bear sleeping in the branches of a eucalyptus tree. Above it was minted the name of the series - Australian Koala, and below it the year of the coin's minting, its weight and silver sample. On the left side was the distinctive "P" symbolizing the Perth mint. On the obverse you will find the figure of Queen Elizabeth II. The coin is legal tender in Australia, and its face value is AUD 1.
