Rwanda, Year of the Ox 2021, 1 oz Silver coin

The theme of the Lunar Ounce series is the Chinese lunar calendar consisting of 12 cycles. Each cycle is a year for which the animal representing it is assigned. Chinese beliefs hold that as a person is born, he or she gains the characteristics of that year, which has a great impact on his or her life and personality. Those born in the Year of the Taurus are distinguished by their hard work, self-confidence and aversion to laziness. Taurus is the second sign in order and is assigned for those born in the years, for example: 2021, 2009, 1997, 1985, 1973, 1961.

The reverse of the presented bullion coin is decorated with a characteristic geometric image of a buffalo, over which is placed the Chinese sign symbolizing the Year of the Buffalo. On the rim is engraved the name of the series "LUNAR OUNCE", as well as information on the silver sample and date of issue. On the lower part we can read the name of the coin "YEAR OF THE OX". On the obverse of the coin we will see the national emblem of the Republic of Rwanda, for which the coin is the official means of payment.
