We present the sixteenth installment of the African Ounce series .
The hero of the next silver coin in the series is the Nile crocodile.
The African Ounce series was established in 2008 and has been growing in popularity with investors ever since. The Nile crocodile, Africa's largest reptile, is shown on the next, sixteenth edition. It is the second-largest reptile in the world, after the roseate crocodile. The animal attains a weight of up to 1 ton, which allows it to hunt buffalo-sized animals, which it easily drags into the water.
The reverse of this silver coin depicts the Nile crocodile, in its natural habitat. The left side of the cylinder shows two individuals, one on the shore and the other emerging from the river. Above their silhouettes, the African continent is shown. Around them are an inscription with the name of the series, the date of issue with the weight of the coin and the silver sample. The reverse depicts the coat of arms of Rwanda, along with information on the denomination. The coin is a full-fledged means of payment in the country.
