The Simpsons is a world-famous animated comedy series. It depicts in a very humorous and somewhat hilarious way the life of a stereotypical American family. The series, due to its nature, was addressed more to adult viewers, but it quickly gained popularity also among the younger part of the audience. High and unflagging viewership meant that the series has been continuously broadcast for more than 30 years.
The reverse of this silver coin depicts this time the entire Simpson family, standing in front of their home. This sees all the household members, including the dog and cat. The left side features the signature of Matt Groening, the series' creator. The obverse shows the classic right profile of Queen Elizabeth II.
