Artemis, also known as Diana in Roman mythology, was the goddess of hunting, virginity, the moon and nature. She was one of the main Olympian deities and the daughter of Zeus and Latona and twin sister of Apollo. Artemis was often depicted as a young woman with a bow and arrows, ready to hunt. She was the protector of wildlife and forest animals, as well as the patron saint of hunters. In addition, she was considered the protector of virginity and women in childbirth. Her mythology was rich in various stories and adventures, including stories related to her participation in numerous hunts.
