1922–1926 Silver Peace Dollar, 26.7 g (good condition)
The American Dollar of Peace—a silver circulation coin with a face value of $1.
Shipping: 24h
The Peace Dollar is the coin that replaced the popular Morgan Dollar.
The change took place in 1921, when both types of coins were still being minted. Beginning in 1922, the Peace Dollar was the only American one-dollar coin in circulation. It was in that year that the largest number of coins in history were minted. The coin was made of an alloy consisting of 90% silver and 10% copper. Its catalog weight is 26.73 g, and its diameter is 38.1 mm.
We offer coins minted between 1922 and 1926. We ship coins from these years at random—we cannot guarantee that the coin you receive will be from a specific year of issue. The reverse of this coin features an image of a seated eagle, with the inscription “Peace” below it. The obverse is adorned with the American symbol of freedom—Liberty—depicted in left-side profile. The year of issue is shown below.
This coin is a circulation coin and may show minor signs of wear, such as scratches, discoloration, or scuffs. The photos are for illustrative purposes only—the coin you receive may be from a different year and in a different condition.
