Introducing another offering from the popular series of numismats produced by KOMSCO - the Henry II shield. The original shield created for Henry II was created in the 15th century and depicted the bloody scene of the legendary Battle of Cannae fought between the armies of Rome and Carthage. The real shield made of steel, gold and silver is now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The presented silver numismatic coin is a reproduction of the legendary shield of Henry II. In addition to the famous Battle of Cannae depicted on the coin, it features the initials of the king and queen along with his personal badge. Both sides of the coin depict the same motif, thanks to the unique design the shields can be stacked one on top of the other. Individual pieces are shipped in a dedicated cap specially tailored to the shape of the numismat.
