Copper medals are an alternative to products made of the classic precious metals gold, silver and platinum.

The Indian Head Cent, also known as the Indian Head Penny, was a one-cent coin produced by the United States Mint Bureau between 1859 and 1909, and was designed by James Barton Longacre, chief engraver at the Philadelphia Mint. The term "cent" derives from the monetary system adopted by the United States, in which the denomination is determined by decimal fractions (hence cent - 1/100th of a dollar). The colloquial term "penny" came from the British monetary system, in which the coin of the same name occupies a similar position to the cent.

The obverse of the copper coin depicts Liberty with a headdress referring to traditional Indian attire. The image of Liberty is surrounded by the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." The whole design is reminiscent of the obverse of the historic coin. The reverse, on the other hand, shows a heraldic eagle with a shield. Above the eagle you will find the designation of the mint where the medal was minted, and below it the designation of the bullion proof.
