Copper medal with an image of an American M4 Sherman tank produced during World War II.

zł15.00

A symbol of the history of the U.S. military embodied in a copper cylinder.

The American M4 Sherman medium tank was produced during World War II. Its name was given in honor of General William Sherman. When it was introduced into battle in the fall of 1942, the Sherman excelled against German tanks of the period. The problem arose when, as the war progressed, heavy German tanks of the Tiger and Panther types went into battle - after the cannon was improved along with the shells, and thanks to the numerical superiority, the Shermans' chances on the battlefield increased significantly.

On the reverse of the presented copper medal we will see the iconic M4 Sherman tank. Above the combat vehicle is engraved the inscription US ARMY while below it its name M4 SHERMAN TANK. The lower part of the reverse features information on the weight and bullion sample. The obverse of the coin is decorated with an eagle with a shield holding olive branches in its claws along with arrows.
