Tokelau Icon Silver Coin: Marilyn Monroe 2022, 1 oz.

The latest coin in the series issued as the official legal tender of the island nation of Tokelau.

The Icon series from Pressburg Mint features a very interesting finish on both the obverse and reverse of the coin, giving it a substantial look, characteristic of the series. Marilyn Monroe is undoubtedly an iconic figure, a movie star, singer and model. The American Film Institute placed her at number 6 on its list of the greatest actresses of all time. She appeared in more than 30 Hollywood productions.

The reverse of this unique silver coin depicts the titular Marilyn en face, with her characteristic smile. Viewed from a different angle, the ICON inscription appears on the coin, and the central part is filled with a geometric pattern of lines, of which the graphic is composed. The obverse of the coin is decorated with the left profile of Queen Elizabeth II, with the inscription Tokelau and the denomination - 5 NZD - above her head, with information about the weight and purity of the silver at the bottom. The entire side of the coin is filled with concentric dotted lines, giving the impression of space.
