Indian Wildlife Silver Coin: Rhino 2022, 1 oz.

Rhino is another coin dedicated to the wildlife of India in the Indian Wildlife series.

The Indian rhinoceros shown on this silver coin is one of the largest land animals found in India. It is also sometimes called the armored rhinoceros because of the characteristic folds of skin on its body. In South Asia there is a belief that these rhinos, or rather their body parts, have healing powers and ward off evil spirits. Unfortunately, this superstition has not served these creatures well and they are now facing extinction.

On the reverse of the investment coin the Indian rhinoceros is depicted in a frontal majestic pose, emphasizing its main features - strength and tranquility. It was placed on a decorative rhomboid background. Around the coin there is information about the weight and the type of bullion from which the coin was made. The CASH inscription visible in the upper part is a reference to the currency units used in India during British rule. The obverse depicts the royal profile of Elizabeth II. The lower part shows the year of issue and the denomination. The rest of the coin's edge is filled with the inscription "ELIZABETH II D.G.REGINA significant "By the grace of God, Queen. In the further part the name of the island of st. Helen, for which the coin was issued.
