Silver 20th Anniversary Coin - Lord of the Rings: Gandalf 2021, 1 oz.

The featured coin series was issued to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

20 years is a long time, and although so much has passed since the premiere, the cinematic Lord of the Rings is still one of the most popular adventure films in the history of cinema. The film adaptation was realized on a grand scale for the time and still impresses with beautiful cinematography, great music and superb acting. The film was awarded many times and has several Oscar statuettes to its credit.

We present the coin, which is the third installment of the series, which, like the film, was a success. The reverse of the coin is decorated with the image of another member of the Fellowship of the Ring - Gandalf, who can certainly be described as its leader. The wizard is depicted wearing his characteristic hat, on which a quote from the film is engraved in fine print: "The wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives when he feels like it." On the back of the coin was an image of Elizabeth II, as the coin is the official currency of New Zealand.
