Queen's Beasts: Completer 2021, 2 oz Silver Coin

The Queen's Beasts series was launched in 2016 to mark the 65th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation. In five years, this exceptionally interesting coin collection has become one of the most recognizable series in the world. Coins from the first years of issue today fetch quite high prices on the secondary market. The coin on display is a summary of the entire series, and its design follows each of the earlier issues of the Queen's Beasts collection.

The coin's reverse features a centrally placed image of the British monarch. Elizabeth II is surrounded by the 10 creatures featured on the coats of arms of the great royal families. Between the coats of arms and the Queen is placed the name of the series - "The Queen's Beasts" - as well as the year of issue, the coin's weight and silver sample. The obverse has the classic look familiar from earlier issues of the series - it's the same image of Elizabeth II as on the reverse, enriched additionally with information about the coin's face value of £5.
