The coin was produced in a limited edition of 30,000 pieces.
This is another series of Australian bullion coins from Perth, dedicated to the country's natural wealth. The emu is one of those bird species that are found exclusively in Australian territory. The emu is not an endangered species today, but its population and variety of subspecies was once much larger. These birds are one of the natural symbols of Australia - along with Kangaroos and koalas.
The reverse of the 2021 Australian Emu coin includes an image of an adult emu with a young one. In the background we see the landscape of the Australian steppe - the so-called "outback". At the top edge of the reverse is the name of the series - Australian Emu, while at the bottom: the year of issue, the weight of the coin and the silver sample. The obverse, as usual, featured the classic image of Queen Elizabeth II.
