Witchcraft: Medium 2026 UHR Silver Coin, 2 ounces

The world of the living and the dead on a single coin. Discover the secrets of Germanic magic

"Medium"is the third installment in Germania Mint’s acclaimed numismatic series. It depicts a mystical intermediary who bridges the world of the living with the spirit realm and is capable of unraveling mysteries inaccessible to ordinary people. The image of the heroine draws on ancient Germanic traditions, rituals, and beliefs associated with witches.

The obverse of the coin depicts the Medium with her eyes covered, symbolizing her inner focus on the invisible realm and her defense against evil forces. Elements such as the infinity symbol, bone crescent moons, a lantern illuminated by runes, and a skull allude to the endless cycle of life, death, and spiritual transformation. The belt, adorned with badger remains, embodies qualities such as life wisdom, courage, and determination. The design stands out for its use of natural smoky quartz. The deep, smoky hue of this stone perfectly complements the numismatic piece’s esoteric atmosphere, emphasizing the main character’s mystery and her connection to protection and rebirth.
The reverse design harmoniously blends Germania Mint’s recognizable aesthetic with Germanic mythology and motifs from the spiritual realm. Surrounding the double-headed eagle are a skull flanked by bones and a pair of dragons alluding to the underworld, creating a mysterious, multi-layered composition. The design is complemented by runic symbols representing protective power, strength, and spiritual guidance. The deep relief masterfully highlights the coin’s three-dimensionality and precision of finish.
