The ship Kingston, under the command of the famous pirate Calico Jack, or John Rackham, was one of the ships that made history in the history of piracy in the Caribbean. Rackham took over the Kingston in 1719, when the ship was in the hands of British merchants. As a pirate vessel, the Kingston was used to raid other merchant ships, mainly in the Caribbean, where the Calico Jack and its crew captured booty. Also sailing aboard the Kingston were two well-known pirates, Anne Bonny and Mary Read, who stood out for their bravery and fighting skills. However, the career of Rackham and his crew ended quickly - in 1720 the ship was captured by the authorities and its captain executed for piracy.
The obverse depicts the profile of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II, along with information on the denomination, weight and silver proof of the investment currency. The reverse of the coin on display depicts the ship "The Fancy" with chests full of valuables on board, meant to symbolize the riches plundered by its crew. In the background we see an unidentified ship, most likely from which the famous treasure was looted. In the background we see a corpse skull, a world-famous symbol of the brutality and ruthlessness of pirate crews.
