Silver Redback Spider 2020 Coin, 1 oz

The silver Redback Spider coin begins Australia's Most Dangerous series.

zł399.00

The series is branded by the Royal Australian Mint - one of Australia's largest mints.

The collection is dedicated to the deadliest species of animals found on Australian territory. One of them is precisely the Redback spider - a venomous spider related to the famous black widow. Until the second half of the 1950s, when a suitable antidote was invented, some bites resulted in the death of the victim. Today, deaths are much less frequent, but the bite of this small spider itself can be very painful.

The reverse of the coin depicts a female spider against a background of the web she has just woven. Below is the inscription Redback Spider, partially obscured by the web and the spider's legs. The reverse of the coin is decorated with an image of Queen Elizabeth II, around which information such as the denomination - 1 AUD and the year of the coin's issue - 2020 - was placed.
