A silver coin referencing the Chinese calendar from the renowned Perth Mint.

The Lunar III series is highly acclaimed worldwide for its unique design, excellent quality and rich history. The collection is a continuation of the Lunar I and II series, and is themed after the Chinese lunar calendar. According to the calendar, each year is assigned a zodiac animal, and a person born in that year gains its unique characteristics. The year 2024 marks the Dragon, considered one of the most powerful signs of the Chinese zodiac. Those born under the sign of the Dragon are characterized by an exceptionally strong personality, creativity and good intuition.


The reverse of the investment coin depicts a Chinese mythical dragon with stylized waves and steam rising from its maw. The design features a Chinese character symbolizing the dragon along with the inscription DRAGON 2024 and the mint mark P125 symbolizing the 125th anniversary of Perth Mint. The obverse of the coin is decorated with a classic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, along with the denomination, bullion proof and weight of the coin.
