A silver investment coin that also has collector potential.

The new coin in the series features the light-footed catfish, a species of primate native to West Africa. It has been introduced to areas of the Caribbean, including Barbados. Due to the lack of natural predators, their population in these areas has grown significantly. Although the species is not officially considered endangered in Africa, poaching and loss of natural habitat puts it at risk of extinction in the region. In the Caribbean, it is considered a pest.

On the reverse of the silver coin, we see the title monkey, a light-footed catbird swinging on its tail among the branches of trees. Around it is the inscription CARIBBEAN SILVER, as well as the weight and silver proof of the coin. At the bottom is the year of issue. The obverse of the silver coin is the centrally placed Barbados coat of arms - a shield supported by a pelican and a coryphaea - these animals are the country's national symbol. The currency is the official legal tender of the country, and is marked with a denomination of 1 BBD.
