Australia Wombat - one of Perth Mint's newest productions with an edition limited to 2,500 copies.
The coin marks the beginning of a new limited series of premium color bullion coins.
The theme of the collection is one of Australia's best-loved animals - the wombat. Loved by people for its appearance and for the fact that it can be easily tamed. Wombats are herbivores with a nocturnal lifestyle. They have long claws that help them dig underground passages. Some species of these friendly animals are critically threatened with extinction.
The featured silver coin from Australia's Perth Mint depicts the silhouette of a wombat in its natural habitat. Its image has been further enhanced with colored lacquer, which gives the coin a unique look. At the top of the reverse was an inscription with the name of the series - "Wombat", and below it the year of issue, weight and proof of the coin. On the reverse was the right profile of Queen Elizabeth, designed by J. Clark. As the recognized legal tender of Australia, the coin has a nominal value of 1 Australian dollar.
The presented collector's variant of the coin has a mintage limited to 2,500 copies. The coin is delivered in a decorative thematic blister.
