South Korean Phoenix is an interesting series of silver medals from Korean manufacturer KOMSCO.

In South Korea, as in other Asian countries, the Phoenix is considered a symbol of strength, rebirth and immortality. It often appears as a motif in art, literature and on everyday objects. In mythology, the Phoenix is considered a bird of good fortune and symbolizes a return to life and rebirth. In Korea, the phoenix is referred to as Bonghwang and, unlike its Western image, never dies and heralds happiness and eternal life.

The reverse of this silver medal depicts a flying phoenix in its beak holding a pearl, strongly associated with Asian culture. In the center is the name of the coin, as well as the year of issue, 2021. The obverse presents two phoenixes facing each other with outstretched wings. At the bottom is the name of the manufacturer, as well as information about the weight and silver sample of the medal. The image of the obverse has remained unchanged, as with the entire series.
