The Faerie Queene collection is a new series of bullion coins based on the epic medieval poem by Edmund Spenser. The series will tell stories rich in mythical beasts, knights, princesses and villains. The first installment in the series takes a closer look at the beginning of the story of the Red Cross Knight, who receives a quest from the Bard Queen on behalf of the lady Una. The mission is to rescue the princess's parents from the captivity of an evil dragon. One of the most famous coin designers, Joel Iskowitz, is responsible for the design of the coin.
The reverse of the bullion coin depicts a scene in which the Queen Bard hands over the task to the Knight of the Red Cross. In the background behind the characters is immortalized Princess Una's castle, over which we see a dragon flying. The coin attracts attention with a particularly careful finish, full of details. On the obverse of the coin we will find the image of Queen Elizabeth II. The product is the official legal tender for the island of St. Helena.
