Copper Medal $10 Bison Banknote Replica, 1 oz.
A copper investment medal inspired by an old banknote.
The copper medal is an interesting option for precious metals investors and enthusiasts alike.
The U.S. $10 Bison Note, is one of the most recognizable bills in the history of American currency. Its distinctive feature is the depiction of a bison on the obverse, which symbolizes the wildlife and history of the United States. The Bison Note also features images of two famous explorers of the American West, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, who led the Lewis and Clark expedition from 1804 to 1806. The banknote is prized by collectors for its beautiful and detailed design, as well as for its symbolic significance related to American culture and nature. The buffalo on the banknote, though formerly attributed to a famous buffalo named Black Diamond from the New York Zoo, is likely more symbolic than based on one specific animal, however.
On the obverse of the copper medal we see the same graphic as we can find on the original banknote. Here we see the goddess Liberty standing frontally raising her hand up against the background of the United States of America inscription. The reverse is the well-known image of a buffalo, from which the banknote took its name. Slightly below is a portrait of two explorers, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark.
