Second Amendment (Right to Bear Arms) Copper Medal, 1 oz.
Copper investment medal referring to the Second Amendment.
The copper medal is an interesting option for precious metals investors and enthusiasts alike.
The Second Amendment was one of the first ten amendments to the US Constitution. Under it, American citizens were given the right to keep and bear arms. This allowed civilians to arm themselves to protect their property and country, as it was believed that well-armed and self-trained citizens were a key component of territorial defense. Free access to arms played an important role in the success of the American Revolution and the independence of the United States.
The obverse of the copper investment medal features the silhouette of a Civil War soldier armed with a musket. In the background behind him we can see the American flag. In the rim we can read the inscription meaning "Constitutional right to bear arms." On the reverse, the central part is filled with a quote that reads: "A well-organized militia is essential to the security of a free state, and the right of citizens to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." The outer edge, meanwhile, bears the inscription "No one shall ever be denied the right to use arms, Thomas Jefferson."
