The theme of the medal refers to Poland's rich history. 

The medal presented here is the fourth installment of the highly regarded Polish bullion series "Husaria" – a collection inspired by the legend of one of the most recognizable cavalry formations in European history. The series pays tribute to the elite, heavily armed cavalry of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which commanded respect on battlefields across the continent in the 16th and 17th centuries. The hussars were a symbol of strength, discipline, and military prowess. Its soldiers, known for their distinctive wings and impressive armament, became famous for their extremely effective, often decisive charges. Their victories were determined not only by courage and training, but also by precise tactics and excellent organization of combat operations.

The reverse of the silver investment medal depicts a dynamic scene of a hussar charge, emphasizing the momentum and determination of this formation. The obverse shows the fortress in Smolensk – a symbol of the triumph of the Polish army in 1611. The capture of the stronghold opened the way to Moscow and became one of the most spectacular military successes of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. As a result of this offensive, the Polish prince Władysław IV Vasa, later King of Poland, ascended the Moscow throne – an unprecedented event in the history of Polish-Russian relations. The obverse of the medal in the central part presents the emblem of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, while the lower part features a symbolic, fictitious denomination of "1 Polish Grosz," emphasizing the collectible nature of the item.
