Introducing the continuation of the very warmly received The Simpsons series inspired by one of the most popular animated families. The Simpsons is known around the world not only for its unique humor, but also for being one of the longest-running animated series. The series depicts the daily life of the family of Homer, his wife Marge and children Maggie, Lisa and Bart. The Simpsons creator Matt Groening confessed that the famous animated family was modeled after his own. In addition to its uninterrupted broadcast since 1989, the series boasts a record guest cast of more than 600 celebrities.

The reverse side of the investment coin depicts the entire Simpson family prepared for the upcoming Christmas holidays. Homer is wearing a Santa hat on his head, while his wife Marge has her hair adorned with a Christmas chain with a bauble attached and a star on top. The whole is complemented by a festive reed embracing the family, with the words "SEASON'S GREETINGS" engraved underneath. The obverse of the coin is decorated with a classic portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, along with information on the silver sample, weight, date of issue and denomination of the coin. The currency is the official legal tender of the State of Tuvalu.
