Rwanda, Year of the Tiger 2022, 1 oz Silver Coin

A silver coin from the Lunar Ounce collection with an image of a Chinese tiger.

The Chinese calendar, to which the presented coin refers, is divided into 12 cycles. Each is assigned an animal to symbolize a particular cycle, or year. According to Chinese beliefs, a person born in the year symbolized by a particular animal is given unique characteristics that have a great influence on his personality and character. Those born in the year of the tiger are distinguished by their tendency to take risks, while at the same time having a lot of luck in life, so that they always get out of various situations without oppression.

The reverse of the bullion coin is decorated with a geometric image of a Chinese tiger. Above the animal is the Chinese character symbolizing the Year of the Tiger, next to which we read the name of the series "LUNAR OUNCE." Next to the tiger's head is engraved the inscription "YEAR OF THE TIGER." From the reverse we will learn the date of issue, the bullion sample and the weight of the coin. The obverse of the coin presents the national coat of arms of the Republic of Rwanda, for which the coin is the official means of payment.
