Noah's Ark 2023 Gold Coin, 1 oz.

An Armenian coin that refers to the Noah's Ark motif, issued by Leipziger MV.

According to the biblical story, Noah was the only one among all humans to find favor before Yahweh God, so he was given the task of building a huge ship capable of saving him and his family from the flood. Females and males of all animals unsuitable for swimming were also to be placed on the Ark. After the Ark was completed, God sent a torrential downpour that lasted continuously for 40 days. When the waters subsided after a long time, the ship completed its journey in the mountains of Ararat. After this event, Yahweh, as a sign of his covenant with Noah, stretched a great rainbow in the sky.

The reverse of the presented gold coin depicts Noah's Ark floating among the high waves. In the foreground we can see a dove with an olive branch in its beak, while in the background we can see the slope of Mount Ararat. The obverse of the coin features Armenia's national emblem, as well as information on the weight, gold sample, minting year and the denomination of 50,000 DRAM.
