Legendary Warriors is an interesting series of silver investment medals.

Leonidas I was a king of Sparta who became famous as the hero of the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 BC. He commanded a small group of about 300 Spartans who, together with their allies, faced the huge Persian army of King Xerxes. Although the Greeks were eventually defeated, their courage and sacrifice became a symbol of heroism and the fight for freedom. Leonidas died in battle, and his attitude has gone down in history as an example of the indomitable warrior spirit. To this day he is regarded as one of the most legendary figures of ancient Greece.
