HMS Victory is a famous British warship, launched in 1765. It was the flagship of Admiral Horatio Nelson during the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, one of the most important naval battles in history. The ship played a key role in the Royal Navy's victory over the Franco-Spanish fleet. It measures more than 69 meters in length and has 104 guns spread over three artillery decks. Today, HMS Victory is preserved as a museum and can be visited in Portsmouth Harbor. She is the oldest warship in the world remaining intact.

The reverse of the silver investment coin features an image of the warship HMS Victory sailing at sea. The coin did not lack nautical symbols typical of the series, such as the wind rose showing the directions of the world. Around the ship are the name of the series, the year of issue, as well as the weight and purity of the silver. At the very bottom we can read the name of the ship. The obverse features the national coat of arms of the state of Rwanda, for which the coin is the official legal tender of 50 Rwandan francs
