The coin, or rather medal, or in English "silver round", is distinguished by a graphic design executed with lace-like precision. The reverse of the medal is a faithful reproduction of the Stone of the Sun - a huge stone disc found in one of the Mexican temples. It is 358 cm in diameter and weighs about 24 tons. Although its purpose is not fully known, one scholarly hypothesis has been floated that it is supposed to be an Aztec calendar. On the back you will find the right profile of Cuahtemoc - the last ruler of the great Aztec Empire. Around his likeness are placed the weight and the sample of silver from which the medal was made.
