In Greek mythology, Apollo was one of the most important Olympian gods. He was the son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of the hunting goddess Artemis. Apollo was a god of many disciplines, covering a wide variety of aspects of life. He was the patron of music, poetry, dance and other fine arts. He also played the lyre and was considered an excellent musician. He was also considered a medical god. His temples were often the place where healing was sought.
The reverse of the silver cylinder shows us Apollo against a background of an olive tree. As befits the god of music, he is playing one of his attributes, the harp.
