The Justice League, or Justice League, is a fictional group of superheroes, belonging to the DC world, who have united to fight widespread evil. The Justice League first debuted in 1960. Initially it brought together seven of the most popular characters, Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, Aquaman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. Over time, as the project, founded by Gardner Fox, grew in popularity, more characters joined the group.

The reverse of the silver cylinder depicts one of the universe's most recognizable characters, Batman. He is seen standing on the roof of a building, holding a rope in his left, upright hand. Above his cape flying in the wind is the character's symbol. At the bottom is the weight of the coin and the silver sample. The obverse shows a profile of Queen Elizabeth II, along with the name of the country, its emblem, information on the date of issue and currency.
