The Yeti, also known as the Migoi or Metch-kangmi, is a legendary creature from Himalayan myths and foclors arousing fascination and mystery over the years. Although its existence has not been scientifically confirmed, the Yeti continues to arouse the interest of researchers and crypto zoology enthusiasts. Despite numerous witness accounts, scientific research still does not provide conclusive evidence of the creature's existence. Some clues, tracks and reports of sightings are interpreted as mistakes or the result of local legends.

The reverse of the copper disc shows the figure of the "Abominable Snowman" - a large humanoid covered in thick fur with huge feet with horns on his head. The rim reads the name of the coin "ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN." The obverse of the coin is decorated with an intricate design combining many elements from the culture of the United States.
