"Eagle: Roots of the Nation" Collector's Medal: Solidarity Across Generations, 29 grams

A collector's medal inspired by Polish patriotic symbols. 

“Solidarity of Generations” is a unique collector’s item dedicated to one of the most important values that build a community—the bond between generations. Its meaningful design conveys the idea of passing on what has shaped national identity over the years: remembrance of history, respect for the homeland, patriotism, and an awareness of one’s own heritage. It is a symbolic story of continuity, in which the past is not merely a memory but becomes the foundation of the present and an inspiration for future generations.

The central part of the colorful obverse features an exceptionally evocative depiction of three pairs of hands belonging to an elderly person, an adult, and a child. Their arrangement symbolizes closeness, mutual care, and the natural process of passing values from one generation to the next. Together, the hands hold up a white-and-red ribbon that clearly references Poland’s national colors. It serves as a symbol of unity, community, and attachment to the homeland, while also reminding us that love for the country and the memory of its history do not belong to a single generation—they are a legacy that can be consciously passed on to future generations. In the background stretches a panorama of Warsaw, a city that is one of the most eloquent symbols of Polish history. The capital, which has repeatedly endured turbulent events and was subsequently rebuilt and has developed dynamically, perfectly embodies the message of this commemorative stamp. Among the distinctive elements of the cityscape, one can recognize the Palace of Culture and Science and the Świętokrzyski Bridge. The juxtaposition of the Warsaw panorama with the image of three generations creates a symbolic narrative of continuity—of a past that influences the present, and a present that shapes the world left to future generations. The capital thus becomes not only the backdrop for the scene but also a metaphor for Poland, built by successive generations.

The reverse side was designed in accordance with the distinctive aesthetic of the “Roots of the Nation” series. At the center is a stylized “KN” monogram, which serves as the collection’s official emblem. It is surrounded by a decorative wreath made of oak branches. For centuries, the oak has symbolized strength, perseverance, stability, and longevity, making it the perfect embodiment of the series’ message. The spreading branches can also be interpreted as a metaphor for national roots—deeply embedded in history—and successive generations growing from this same shared heritage.
