Ancient Germanic mythology, on which the collection issued by Germania Mint is based, is full of amazing creatures possessing extraordinary powers. On the second issue referring to the ancient bestiary is the eponymous Fenrir - a large-sized wolf growing up under the tutelage of Odin himself. According to legend, the beast raised in Asgard began to cause concern with its immense power, so it was imprisoned with the magic chain Gleipnir. Fenrir managed to get out thanks to an earthquake, after which he plays a key role in a great skirmish between gods and giants, killing Odin.

The Fenrir coin is available for sale in three variants. The featured Fenrir Ultra High Relief is a 2 troy ounce coin enhanced with UV Effect, Chameleon, Antique Finish and Glow in the Dark. The coin is packaged in a dedicated scratch-protecting box and a UV flashlight to see the coin's incredible beauty. The mintage of this version is limited to 999 pieces.

The product presented here is distinguished by an unprecedented finish - the obverse merges with the reverse, creating a full Fenrir figure. The obverse of the silver collector coin is decorated with a wolf's head with a huge, open maw along with a torso. From the obverse we can read information about the weight and the bullion's purity. The reverse of the coin features the torso of the beast restrained by a Gleipnir and a two-headed eagle along with the Germania Mint logo. The reverse contains information on the coin's denomination and date of issue.
