Noah's Ark 2025 Silver Coin, 1 oz.

Originating in Armenia, Noah's Ark has been issued continuously since 2011 by the Leipziger MV mint.

The design of the coin alludes to the motif of Noah's Ark - the vessel with which, according to the Book of Genesis, Noah was to save himself, his family and two representatives of each animal species - a male and a female - from the great flood. The journey of Noah's Ark ended on the slope of Mount Ararat, which is located on the territory of present-day Turkey. Armenian mythology is associated with Mount Ararat, and modern residents treat the peak as a national asset, despite the fact that it is 32 kilometers from the national border.

The coin's reverse depicts the biblical Noah's boat floating on water. In the background we see the slope of Mount Ararat and in the foreground a dove holding an olive branch in its beak. The obverse of the coin shows the Armenian emblem and information about the weight, the sample of the bullion used, the year of minting and the denomination - 500 DRAM. The coin is legal tender of Armenia, but the Leipzig mint is responsible for its production.
