The British heraldic Seymour panther is an important part of the coat of arms of the Seymour family, one of England's most famous noble families. The panther is usually depicted in a fighting stance, with an expressive look, often with flames coming out of its nostrils and ears, symbolizing its strength and ferocity. In heraldry, the panther represents courage, ferocity and extraordinary energy, which was meant to emphasize the power and prestige of the Seymour family. The family played a key role in English history, especially during the Tudor dynasty, when Jane Seymour became the third wife of Henry VIII. The symbolism of the panther in the coat of arms also indicated the ability to protect and defend powerfully against enemies, which corresponded perfectly with the family's ambitions and influence.

On the reverse of the 2 troy ounce silver bullion coin we see the heraldic panther of the Seymour family. The animal in its paws holds a shield covered with heraldic British symbols. The name of the animal, the year of issue, as well as the weight and test of the silver from which the coin was made, are placed around.
