Silver Coin Six Decades Of 007: Bond Films Of The 2000s 2025, 1 oz
Bond Films Of The 2000s limited edition silver coin limited to 100,000 copies.
A bullion coin from the Six Decades Of 007 series paying tribute to the legacy of the James Bond character.
The series of James Bond films underwent a significant transformation at the turn of the century. The 2000s was a time when filmmakers tried to combine the classic style of Her Majesty's agent with a modern approach to action cinema, matching the expectations of modern audiences. Pierce Brosnan last played the role of James Bond in Die Another Day. The 2002 production was the culmination of his adventure with the series. The film combined traditional Bond plot elements - spectacular chases, Q gadgets and the characteristic charm of the main character - with modern special effects. Although spectacular, the film was met with mixed reviews, paving the way for a revamp of the entire brand. In 2006, the series was rebooted. Daniel Craig made his debut in the role of Agent 007, and Casino Royale showed Bond in a completely different light - more realistic, brutal and emotional. The film, based on Ian Fleming's first novel, showed the beginnings of the agent's career and his first mission as "00." The production won great acclaim from critics and fans, opening a new chapter in the history of the series. Two years later, Quantum of Solace - a direct continuation of the events of Casino Royale - premiered. Bond, troubled by the loss of Vesper Lynd, embarks on a personal mission of revenge. The film, although full of intense action, was met with divided opinions - some viewers appreciated its darker tone, while others criticized the chaotic narrative. The James Bond films of the 2000s can be considered groundbreaking. On the one hand, they ended the era of Pierce Brosnan's sleek, "talky" style, on the other - they opened the Daniel Craig era, introducing realism, psychological deepening of the characters and a harsher atmosphere of the story. It was a time of redefinition of Agent 007, thanks to which the series regained freshness and immense popularity among a new generation of viewers.
On the reverse of the silver coin we see the iconic hovercraft used by the main character in Die Another Day. The background is filled with the titles of films from those years written in small print. The obverse is decorated with a portrait of King Britain III along with the denomination, designed by Martin Jennings.
