The silver investment bar on one side depicts the Aztec sunstone, also known as the Aztec Calendar or Piedra del Sol, is a giant disc-shaped stone about 3.7 meters in diameter and weighing about 24 tons. The stone was made by the Aztecs in the pre-Columbian period and was used as a calendar on which to record time and calculate days and holidays. There are many carved symbols on the stone, including circles representing different days in the Aztec calendar, images of gods, animals and people, and hieroglyphs marking dates and events. The Aztec Sun Stone is considered one of the greatest achievements of pre-Columbian art and is now kept at the Anthropological Museum in Mexico.

Its reverse side depicts the likeness of Cuautehmoc, who was the last Aztec ruler before the Spanish conquest. He was the son of the chief Ahuitzotl and nephew of Montezuma II. Cuautehmoc is to this day considered one of the greatest heroes in Mexican history and a symbol of resistance against the colonizers. His name and image are often used in Mexican culture, including in music, film and literature.
