Goldbacks are thin sheets, made of polyester film, which are covered with a layer of pure gold of varying thickness depending on the denomination. In this way, goldbacks represent a combination of currency value and tangible value, since their value depends on the amount of gold they contain. Goldbacks are available in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50, and their designs are inspired by the history, culture and landscapes of the American West. However, it should be noted that goldbacks are not recognized as legal tender in the United States.

The Truth virtue reappears on the New Hampshire banknote, previously we could admire it on a Goldback of the same denomination, but from the state of Utah. She is depicted in a colonial dress, holding a lighted candle and following a path that leads to a covered bridge over a misty river. She symbolizes the light of truth and offers it to others, encouraging them to follow the path of truth with her.
