Goldback is a gold-based private currency created in 2014 by Goldback Inc. Gold is "embedded" in each bill, making it fully convertible into gold. However, since it is not considered legal tender, it cannot be used as a currency of ordinary circulation, but only as an alternative form of bullion investment. The goldback is available in a variety of denominations, from 1/1000th of an ounce to 1/20th of an ounce, and depicts various themes related to the history and culture of the United States.

The design of the 25 Goldback bill depicts the personification of the virtue of victory, or Victoria. The main reason was to celebrate women's right to vote. It is the first Goldback design ever made. Victoria wears a ribbon with an inscription that says "Votes Counting Since 1870," a nod to the fact that when Utah became a state, women already had the right to vote. The first state to give women the right to vote was Wyoming, but it was in Utah that a woman, Seraph Young, cast her first vote in an election.
