1 Wyoming Goldback Gold Note, 1/1000 oz

A gold banknote styled after the history of the United States.

The goldback was launched k in 2014 in the state of Utah, USA. It takes the form of a paper currency that is fully backed by gold. Unlike traditional currencies issued by central banks, the Goldback is not issued by any government institution. It consists of thin sheets of gold covered with holographic patterns to prevent counterfeiting. Each lobe is assigned a specific value in gold, which means the holder can exchange Goldback lobes for gold equivalent to the face value.

The 1 Goldback bill from the state of Wyoming depicts the virtue of Reverence, identified with respect. She is depicted on this design as a Native American Shoshone woman wearing a traditional buckskin dress and standing against a backdrop of the northeastern Wyoming region. Below her is the inscription "Revere what is Sacred." Her hair is casually loose in the wind, giving an overall sense of freedom. In the background you can see the formation that is called Devil's Tower or Mato Tipila (Bear Lodge). Mato Tipila is a sacred place for many Native Americans in the region.
